
The latest film by Desmond Nakano (White Man's Burden, Last Exit to Brooklyn) is set at Topaz, one of the Japanese American internment camps. Camp guard Billy Burrell (Gary Cole of The West Wing ) is a frustrated minor league catcher. Lyle Nomura (newcomer Aaron Yoo) is a star pitcher who left behind a college scholarship when he was interned. Tensions rise when Lyle strikes up a romance with Burrell's daughter. In a gesture of goodwill, Lyle's father proposes a game between Burrell's team and ther internees. (2006, 102 minutes)
