Founded by Berry Gordy in 1959 and home to artists like Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, Smokey Robinson, and the Supremes, Motown brought soul music to new audiences and chart-topping heights. Reuben Jackson, an associate curator at the National Museum of American History, examines the importance of Motown to American music and culture. The event includes a live performance.
