During Black History Month, the museum’s daily highlights tour features the 1941 painting Sunlight and Shadow by Allan Rohan Crite. A self-described “artist-reporter,” Crite here depicts three generations in a park. He intended to capture “the usual pleasures of life with its mixtures of both sorrow and joy.” Meet in the F Street Lobby. |
