
Storyteller and singer Xavier Carnegie introduces tales that were used to teach lessons to children living on the Sea Island rice plantations of South Carolina and Georgia. The audience can sing along with Sea Island children’s songs and touch sea-grass baskets and other artifacts of the Gullah people. The Feb 17 show is $9 a child, $10 for adults, and tickets are required.
